east bound and down

do yourselves a favour and turn yer looking balls to the picture radio, because this shit is reason enough to get hbo on your full-time cable roster. woot!

you are a master at the art of time suckage.

after watching this a couple of weekends ago, phil came to the sudden realization that i have been living the past 15 years or so of my life with lelaina pierce as my inspirational muse.

i tend to agree with him.

up and coming: grey gardens.

from the documentary

from the new movie

a few years ago, jasmine got me hooked on the documentary, and now there's an hbo movie coming out next month. Supposedly, it delves deeper into little edie's past and gives the viewer an idea as to how they got to where they were when the original documentary was made.

i am crossing my fingers that this is going to be a worth it!

here's to the kids.
here's to the kids. - by sekyiwa on Polyvore.com

i highly reccomend this website. it's like playing with paperdolls - minus the scissors, paper cuts, and finite nature of print media.

listed: where the wild things are.

oh snap! this was one of the books that jasmine and i read and re-read until it was worn and torn at the edges, and now the long-awaited spike jonze movie is almost here!

good poster.

i don't like it. not even if it were for a barbie. i don't think it's witty. i think it's kind of meh. don't belive the hype.

chyea!

whitney's boss running the margiela hair dress for purple fashion. shot by terry richardson.

it girl: faye dunaway.

i've king of fallen off doing these 'it girl' posts, but i was thinking about bonnie and clyde last night while watching the classic movie channel, and faye baby came to mind.

faye played wilhelmina cooper in 'gia' - which, according to my sister, is probably the best movie angelina jolie's ever made, evelyn cross mulwray in 'chinatown', and even had a role in the johnny depp movie, 'don juan de marco' (phil has a copy of this at home that even i make fun of him for - and i love johnny).

but it was her joan crawford in the cult classic 'mommie dearest' that pretty much cemented her legend status, in my mind. NO WIRE HANGERS!

rows are b(L)ack.

our lady of all things gorge, gis, killing it with rows in the latest issue of numero magazine. this was my look circa grade 10 - trust (minus the fresh jumper and heels, add a plaid shirt, navy chucks and some baggy khakis).

yaya, when you came back from nyc with this 'do a couple of years ago, you straight killed it!

erin wasson x rvca.

the low-key supermodel badass and the lifestyle brand have partnered to create a capsule colleciton for fall 2009, simply titled: erin wasson x rvca. word is, their collaborative launch party last month during ny fashion week at the milk studios penthouse was a pretty hot ticket.

this isn't just a pretty face fronting a shred line either - wasson is an active advisor and muse to alexander wang, and debuted lowluv by erin wasson, her jewlery line, during the spring 2009 shows last season.

(thanks to facehunter for the photo).

iskate.

thought this was pretty dope - i don't have an iphone myself, but i've been intrigued by all of the crazy apps you can download. this one, in particular i liked.

basically, it's the 'skateboard directory for skateboarders made by skateboarders'. skate shreds worldwide pooled their knowledge to create this application for other shreds to find skate spots, parks and shops across the globe. they've already got about 30,000 listed and continue to add to it daily!

you can get car and foot directions and there's a gps functionality too. plus, it gets a continuously streaming news freed from skate industry media worldwide. it also functions like wikipedia, so if you have the app, you can add updates with other spots that you know about that might not be listed.

instant disguise.

just fold and lift.

yep. these are for sale.

listed: fuck you penguin.

now this may be one of the best sites i've ever visited on the interweb. seriously, this guy posts pictures of the most absurdly adorable animals ever captured on celluloid (see above), and proceeds to rip them, and their cuteness, new assholes. case and point:

"bunny, what the hell do you think you are doing? those people out there are just trying have a nice walk in the woods, and here you are waiting for the perfect moment to pounce on them and tear their insides out, hop by excruciating hop. STOP TRYING TO CAUSE A SPONTANEOUSLY CUTE INCIDENT. did you think i wouldn't see you? did you think you could just go around, hiding in the dark corners of the world, working to undermine everything that holds civilized society together? you disgust me, bunny.

LESSON: never walk through a garden or a jungle without being aware of the distinct possibility that there could be some ridiculously cute asshole bunny crouched in the shadows, ready to pounce and violate your sacred sense of decency."

please do yourselves a favour and go visit 'fuck you penguin' as soon as possible. you will NOT regret this decision.
