my mom is cooler than you (and me). she's heading to nepal on a leave for change project in about a month, and has travelled more of the world than most people.

plus, she's giving me a MAJOR run for my money in the blogosphere. check it!

viktor & rolf.

the radness. anyone remember this? in december 2003 vogue gave annie leibovitz free reign to interpret the classic alice in wonderland with natalia vodianova as alice and a host of luxury designers as the cast of characters.

gets me excited for the new tim burton movie in post right now..

pc - ku via tl.

peep this: the circle skate jam at garf's

so, even though garf's totally smells like someone barfed on a heating vent and turned it on, it holds a special place in my heart. and the fact that the guys from the circle and everyday whistler set up ramps and a flat bar between the vip booths and the back bar is fucking hilarious.

stuff to do this weekend.

since phil and i are going to hit up the farmer's market over at trout lake tomorrow, then (maybe) hit up third for gill & amy's respective b-day bbq celebrations, this will likely take up part of our lazy sunday seeing as it's right in our 'hood. ahhh, weekends..

oh, young lions.

this should be some radness. thanks to nick for guest listing my broke ass!

there's something strange in the neighbourhood.

craziness! who wants to go next weekend? we can dress up as venkman and shit.

oh so liveable.

once again, van city is at the top of the list according to the economist intelligence unit. which, in my humble opinion, sounds like a pretty freaking reputable source. am i right?

The Blue Balloon Café from Crapneto on Vimeo.

so, the short film robjn taylor created for the 2009 72 hour filmmaker's show down at the whistler telus festival has finally been released to the interweb for the uninhibited access of us mere mortals.

loads of homies making sweet cameos here: phil, leah, marky mark, hk, i could go on.. and yes, if you're curious, apple fritters ARE my favourite.
