having an ear to the ground in kenya can provide a wealth of coolness. kila kitu (a swahili work meaning 'everything') is a clothing company cofounded by a couple of renaissance men - my down homeboy bart and his good friend andrew. these resourceful fellows, 'mine the depths of nairobi's sprawling second hand clothing markets' for, 'preloved fabrics... which they reuse, remix and renew to create one-of-a-kind garments'.

each piece has it's own name, identity, music, and website. yea, i said website. you can download mp3's, upload pictures of you wearing your hot piece and join the boys on a virtual video tour of a fabric hunt a gikomba, nairobi's biggest second-hand clothing market.

don't trip. check it.
