today i got a package in the mail from yaya and pee pee!! it totally made my day. inside:

what an amazing reminder that my friends and family love and miss me. i am a lucky lady.

i'm on a walk.

so, these are pictures of my new 'hood. that's the 'mediterranee' in the background of first one - so gorgeous. tatiana and i went for a run this morning down by the pier and i am kicking myself for not bringing my camera. superyachts as far as the eye could see - insane-o stuff.

the last one is of dorothy, pavel and will walking through the tunnel near the hospital back to my place. the nights here are balmy, with a bit of a breeze from the ocean. i'd almost think i was on vacation, if it weren't for the financial accounting text book weighing down my shoulder bag - reality check!

blowing off steam.

wrote the worst ever mid-term on friday morning. financial accounting - sounds like a blast right? well, surprisingly not!

we were all feeling a bit bummed about our (lack of) stellar performance, so we hit the dance floor. really, really hard.

that's dorothy's friend bobo, on the far right in the first picture - she came up from south africa with dorothy's brother (her boyfriend) and we had a lovely dinner out near the casino. tatiana didn't make it out dancing, but we met up with will and some other people from class and worked it out.
